Lucy guides children through the important features of persuasive essay writing. Don’t get confused with a balanced argument essay. In today’s lesson children need to argue a point and provide evidence and explain their points.

Have a go at writing your own persuasive text. Make sure you
– focus on one point of view
– have a clear introduction/hook
– discuss three points that strengthen your argument
– acknowledge other points of view
– conclude and make a recommendation
