Charing Cross is considered to be the centre of London. On a copy of a Tube map draw a compass at Charing cross station and showing North, South, East, West, North West, South West, North East and South East; These will become your subheadings and list stations under their appropriate subheading. (E.g. Holborn is North East of Charing Cross)
After you have completed the above activity, look at the grid on the tube map and write the coordinates for each station.
With a family member or friend, play a ‘Where am I?’ game. Each have a tube map and take turns describing a journey. E.g. Take the Northern Line from Leicester Square three stops to a large interchange station, change to the Jubilee line and travel three stops east. Where do you end up?
