Learning By Topic KS2: Horrible Histories – The Movie and Art / Design and Technology

Roman ‘books’ – or the storage of text – was done in rock or clay tabs (and you think your books are heavy!). Roll out some clay and inscribe some text into it to create your own Roman ‘book’.

Research and then sketch what Roman men, women, soldiers and children typically wore.

Create a Roman soldier’s helmet and shield. The helmet should be big enough to fit on your head! Top Tip: Use as many recyclable materials as you can.

Design and create an alternative poster/promotion for the movie (look up the original before you commence this task).
