Learning By Topic KS2: Going On Holiday and History

In the Victorian times, holidays and day trips to the British seaside were popular. Follow the links to find out more about what seaside holidays were like in these times:

Now write a summary of what Victorian beachside holidays were like, what did people do? What did they wear? Where did they stay? What did they eat? How did they travel? This could be turned into a mini project and presented on cardboard with subheadings and images or you could create a PowerPoint presentation.

Now rule up to two columns and title them ‘similarities’ and ‘differences’ and compare beachside holidays today to those of Victorian times.
