Learning By Topic KS1: The Great Outdoors and PSHE / PE / Music

Music: Observe how minibeasts move. Choose instruments (or everyday household/garden items that make noise) that best represent these movements e.g. a squeaky sponge could represent a snail’s slide). Try to combine your sounds to create a minibeast beat/rhythm. You could also record these sounds and create a minibeast song!

PE: Do some exercise inspired by minibeast movements.

PSHE: Discuss with an adult why bees are so important to our environment?

PSHE: Design a poster that encourages people to build a pond in their garden – what benefits will it have for the environment?
